But the backbone of this marathon, which is the largest in the number of participants, is comprised of private racers. You need to have both the courage to go to the start of this complicated marathon as well as the mind to prepare properly for the race, to organize everything, to distribute forces to cope with the main task - to finish the race. I have driven the Dakar as a mechanic in one of the teams to study the process and logistics of this marathon. My Dakar diaries are like instructions, they are very helpful to us. The Konturterm Racing Team has prepared for the race using its own resources. All our equipment has helped us to successfully complete and finish the Silk Way rally in Beijing, where the pilot was my son Ivan, he is 27 years old. And now it's my turn to show that not only young people and professional sportsmen have the courage to challenge the Dakar. I hope that wisdom of our Konigsberg philosopher Kant will help me to manage all difficulties of this supermarathon - he will be my talisman. “
