João Ferreira: "I've still got a lot of kilometres to learn"

The Portuguese driver racing for X-raid supported by Yamaha won the special at the wheel of the first Yamaha lightweight prototype to claim a stage of the Dakar. A big stage penalty dashed his hopes of fighting for a top spot in the overall, so he can afford to throw caution to the wind.

"It was a good stage. We didn't catch any cars, so we got no dust. It was very rocky in the beginning and very sandy in the final part. We're not in the competition any more, but I've still got a lot of kilometres to learn."
