Mounting advices Unik² GPS-Sentinel Bike/Quad
Power supply:
The GPS must be powered under a continuous and stabilized tension ranging from 9 to 24 V.
Careful! Connect this cable directly without using a circuit breaker.

Buzzer Sentinel : New advised installation The buzzer is fixed on the left or right side of the support to absorb the vibrations. Plate adapted ONLY to a fixation on the GPS bracket for handlebars (ref. SUPC-201). Buzzer connection under the GPS. |
Sentinel aerial :
/!\ IMPORTANT : Aerial must be fixed on GPS Bracket using the Ty-Raps and braces provided (COMPULSORY), with a minimum distance of 2cm from the bracket and with an overhang of 3cm..
LSentinel aerial must not be hidden.Do not pinch the cable.Sentinel aerial is connected on the back of the GPS (blue sheath with «SENT ERTF» inscription). The connector is spotted by a blue point.
GPS antenna :
Antenna position : has to be mounted on the front of the bike (front mudguard or at the top of the bubble or the instrumentation bracket). Fix the aerial plate directly on the mudguard.
Secure the installation with two plastic Ty-Raps to maintain the antenna on the two diagonals using bracket. No screw is necessary.
The antenna is not orientated, the upper part (stuck ERTF) shall point to the sky and must not be hidden by metallic or carbon parts
Caution : no carbon, metal, backpacks… only plastic has no effect on GPS’s signals.Put the aerial cable as far as possible from the electric wires, high voltage coil and exhaust pipe.Do not pinch the aerial cable under the saddle or tanks.

GPS activation
The bell: satellites non-reception indicator.
Appears during a few minutes at the power on.
If it still appears, check if the antenna and its cable are connected and not damaged.

by SET then LIGHT
Day code
4 digit code given during the briefing and displayed every evening at the bivouac.
Load the wpt for the next leg.
To enter the code:
- push on the COD key
- press CD 1
- enter the code with blue arrows
Navigation
Press
Screen when inside the unmasked radius or visible waypoint (WPV) :
COG: Course followed by vehicle
CTW: Direct course to the Wpt
The arrow: indicates the direction to the target waypoint.
Direct distance to waypoint in km
Information concerning WPM (masked waypoints) when outside unmasked radius:
A waypoint is reached when the vehicle is in the radius defined for the wpt ( 200m or 90m). The GPS switches automatically to the next waypoint.
Change of a waypoint
If a Wpt can’t be reached or if you don’t want to reach it, press NXT on the principal screen. :
W+ : to go to the next waypoint
W- : to come back to the previous waypoint
Give more importance the waypoint’s name than to its number
Speed limit
Symbole V :
- GPS checks the max speed
- blinks and rings, and records if overspeed
Symbol "Attention" (DZ) :
- GPS checks the speed in the village (30,50 or 90 km/h)
- blinks and rings if overspeed. It stops when the wpt FZ is passed.
Releasing code WPM
Given by Iritrack calling.
Using it is penelized.
To turn masked wpts into visible wpts and give access to all navigation information concerning these wpts Press COD and then WPM
Odometer function ODO and OD+
Reset PARTIAL to 0 with RST.
Adjust TOTAL by + and -.
Automatic adjust at each Wpt, message « Adjust OK ».
