Guerlain Chicherit: “It was really difficult for us”

 Although he finished fourth, at the foot of the podium for the day’s special, Guerlain Chicherit found it difficult to get out of his car at the end of the second part of the marathon stage. Still suffering from the aftereffects of the accident before the rest day, the GCK Motorsport driver had to grit his teeth and bear it to extricate himself from the Empty Quarter’s dunes.  

 “It was another stage that was really not easy for the dunes. The relief is not easy to see. All the dunes look the same. So, it wasn’t that simple to see to choose the right lines and to drive in the right place. That made me sick again all day. I don’t know if it’s coming from the impact a few days ago or if it’s just me. I need to work on something to have a better reading on this type of dunes because it was really difficult for us. At the end, we also had a really strong impact again. Alex got hurt so we slowed down and just finished the stage”.
