An inspiration for our builders

Ladies and gentlemen, not long ago we witnessed together the birth of a new adventure and the start of a new chapter in the history of desert racing. Saudi Arabia and the Dakar Rally combined to bring the world of motorsport an unprecedented experience full of excitement, natural beauty and extreme challenges.
The Dakar Rally’s maiden race in Saudi Arabia showed the world our capacity as an organizer of global sporting events. It brought the Kingdom to the fore as a regional and international hub for motorsport and set the stage for chapter three of the Dakar adventure. Just like the Dakar Rally, we, at the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, are fueled by the desire to challenge, compete and emerge victorious. We raised the bar last year in terms of organization, operation and logistics. We will continue to raise it, driven by a relentless passion for excellence, backed by limitless support from our government and people, and inspired by our uniquely diverse desert terrain, which puts the limits of an athlete to the test. It was the myriad of raw emotions we felt throughout the first race that keeps on pushing us year after year to bring this unforgettable spectacle to Saudi Arabia and the world.
Our goal is to build a legacy, grow motorsport, and inspire the next generations in Saudi Arabia, and by continuing to host events of the stature of the Dakar Rally, we are on the right track towards achieving that goal. As we enter the last few weeks before the pilots hit the tracks in Jeddah, we are confident of hosting yet another successful and safe event that lives in the memories of fans and drivers for years to come and sets the standard for future editions.
