Martin Macík pocketed his fourth stage win and chipped away at his deficit in the general standings. The Czech, now fourth, is only a handful of seconds behind Janus van Kasteren and the bottom step of the podium.

"We had problems in the cockpit yesterday and had to fix some stuff because we could hardly drive any more… Today we won, which is awesome! This special was right up our alley, both for us and for the truck. That doesn't mean it was easy: there were dunes, stones, dunes… And a ten-tonne truck is not particularly nimble on soft sand. But here we are…"
