Martin Macik: “One hundred kilometres from the end, there was like a traffic jam”

Martin Macik is continuing calmly on his way to the final finish in Shubaytah, dominating the truck category as he goes. The title holder has obtained his fourth stage victory of the year in Riyadh, by 5’45’’ ahead of Vaidotas Zala and 6’52’’ in front of Ales Loprais.

“It was a really nice stage. We enjoyed it until the end. It was like one hundred kilometres from the end, there was like a traffic jam, I would say, with the T3s and T4s, so we had to overtake them and drive at the same speed as them. It was really bad because they didn’t want to let us overtake. It was in a place where there was fesh-fesh with stones, so it wasn’t really easy and was in fact rather difficult, also for the truck, but everything went well. We enjoyed it, especially the last 30 kilometres of dunes, I really enjoyed it”.
