"Chaleco" took a new stage win to go with those he grabbed in stages 3 and 5. While he is still paying the price for getting stuck in the sand in the early stages, nothing can wipe the smile from his face. This tough Dakar is exactly what the Chilean expected from the rally.

"Oh, long day. It was difficult for the final kilometres. No light. It was difficult for the track and the waypoint. I'm very happy for this year. The race is an adventure, a real adventure. For me, it's incredible."
