“Our goal is to finish on the podium”
Between them, Gert Huzink and good friend Martin Roesink have well over 30 Dakar entries under their belts. were strong enough to win one stage last year, but had to retire after a technical issue. They will compete under a new name after the entry of Jongbloed Fiscaal Juristen and the retirement of Riwald as main sponsor, but with the same fighting spirit as always. They confirmed their speed during the Rallye du Maroc, in October, winning the fifth and last stage with their hybrid-powered Renault. The Dutch crew must now confirm with a good overall result.
G.H.: “The Rallye du Maroc was a good test for the 2024 Dakar. In the beginning it was very difficult, but we think we did a good work and we were satisfied with the final result, especially by winning the last stage. I think we have a strong truck this year, the first hybrid powered truck in Dakar history. We are confident and our goal is to finish on the podium with it.”
