“The event I always dreamt of doing…”
For his first Dakar, Kazakhstan's Denis Berezovskiy was onboard one of the finest machines in off-road rallying: a Kamaz truck. And as a navigator for his compatriot Arthur Ardavichus, he managed to conquer a very impressive 8th spot overall. But the man from Almaty knew that his rally in a truck would be a one off experience, because what he likes doing is racing cars. For his first Dakar in a Bowler Wildcat alongside Alexey Nikhizev, his goal is to enjoy the atmosphere and of course reach the finish in Lima.
“For ten years I have been racing in motorsports. I've probably competed in over a hundred races but the Dakar was the event I always dreamt of doing. For my first Dakar, I was in a Kamaz truck and things went our way although it was very tough. I've always races in cars and last year was just an exception being in a truck. I believe that we are ready enough to make it to finish in Lima. I'll be racing for the first time in a Bowler Wildcat 200. I heard it was a strong car. But I'm not sure we have all the necessary spare parts. Basically the car itself will not be a surprise.”
