Dominique Gibon: “It’s a family virus!”
The Dakar is a family affair. The Gibon, father and son will be taking part together in their fifth Dakar with the goal of finishing among the first twenty. Last year, for the first time, the hot-headed family duo was forced to retire after two tumbles during the ninth stage between Nouakchott and Kiffa. A bad memory that both will want to forget by reaching the Lac Rose this year. While the wisdom of one (the father) and the ardour of the other (the son) seem to be in contrast, they have a huge trust in each other. Under the hood, the engine can start roaring because inside the cockpit of their brand new Bowler there’s always a sweet atmosphere of family harmony.
