STAGE 5: OUARZAZATE – TAN TAN

775 km, including 325 km against the clock, are on the menu for the fifth stage along a completely new route through the Moroccan Atlas Mountains. A moonscape awaits the competitors on very winding tracks at the start of the special stage, before a smoother portion with some fords towards the end. Experience will therefore again be primordial. This might allow Stephane Peterhansel to make up ground after a difficult 4th stage. It should be noted that the trucks will be taking a slightly different route.
