To enter the Dakar 2006, you must first ckeck the registration conditions link to your category (Moto - Auto -Truck - Assistance)

Amateurs take avantage of special registration fees between the 1st June until the 18th of July.




In order for your registration to be valid and confirmed.

Along with the registration form(s) signed by each member of the crew, you must send us the following items:

• 2 PHOTOS per person, • PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR DRIVING LICENSE, • PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR PASSPORT, • A CHEQUE corresponding to the first payment or copy of your bank transfer.

Car, motorbike, truck and assistance enrolments will be recorded and ratified in accordance with the order in which dossiers arrive. Assistance vehicle numbers will be allocated in accordance with the order in which registrations are received.

A.S.O. is sole judge when it comes to limiting the maximum number of competitors allowed in each category. The maximum number of competitors will be communicated as from the 1st September 2005.


 CANCELLATION TERMS

• Before the 30/09/05, €600 will be retained for administrative costs.
• After the 30/09/05 and up to the 15/11, 50% of the amounts paid in will be retained.
• After the 15/11/05 the whole of the amounts paid in will be invoiced.


 PAYMENTS

A.S.O. will only accept a single payer per vehicle or team who must ensure that all payments are made at the different due dates.

Payments of th vehicle lump sum and registration fees for the race or assistance must be made by bank cheque made payable to A.S.O. and exclusively by SWIFT bank transfer for non-French competitors.

We would draw your attention to the following matters:

• Due dates must be respected.
  Failure to comply with this rule automatically means that the normal rates will be applied i.e. €11,700 for race vehicles and €9,300 for assistance vehicles.
  
  
• A.S.O. reserves the right not to ratify enrolments which have not been paid in full by the 15th November 2005.
  
  
• The 15th November 2005, the definitive names of the teams will be definitely communicated. Any change made after this date will automatically give rise to an additional €300 in administrative fees.
  
  
• For payments via bank transfer, a copy of the transfer order must be sent at the same time to A.S.O. (Service Concurrents / Competitors’ Department). This operation must be carried out in order to guarantee your enrolment.
  
  
• The dossier number (D28...) must be legibly written on the back of each cheque or the copy of the bank transfer.

 INVOICING

After your enrolment, a single invoice will be drawn up made out to the name and address of the payer who settles all services paid to A.S.O.
It is in no way possibe to invoice several people for the same dossier.

 SECURITY DEPOSIT

A.S.O.’s security deposit system has been set up with a view to ensuring that:

• rules of safety and regulations are respected throughout the race
• navigation and safety equipment are returned after the rally ( GPS, IriTrack satellite monitoring system and the Sentinel system)
• the distress beacon is returned after the rally.

The security deposit will take the form of a print of the credit card made during administrative checks. Since A.S.O. only accepts one single payer per vehicle or team,the identity of the card holder must be the same as the person paying for the vehicle or the team.

The security deposit is not debited and the credit card print will be cancelled after the rally except in the case of:

• safety rules and the regulations not being respected,
• loss of or damage to the GPS, the IriTrack satellite monitoring system or the Sentinel system,
• triggering, loss or damage to the beacon(see special conditions in the hire forms).
