“A dream come true.”
Claude and Bernard Marreau or more recently Felipe and Jaime Prohens, Henk and Ten Knuiman, are just a few examples of brothers having competed on the Dakar together in a car or on bike. The 2014 edition will have a new pair of siblings: Alberto and Marco Brioschi. Both born in Monza, famous for its legendary race-track, the Italians were bound to compete in motorsports. The Dakar it will be for these enduro specialists. Alberto, the elder will be living a dream at 41 years of age. He hopes that dream will last all the way to Valparaiso.
“I discovered bikes thanks to my father and I started riding as soon as the age of seven. The Dakar is really a dream come true. I prepared for the Dakar through the Italian enduro championship but also working out in the gym and riding my mountain bike. My goal is to enjoy a great experience and reach the finish.”
