I WOULD LIKE TO USE THE DAKAR BRAND ON MY TEAM'S LINE OF CLOTHING OR GADGETS. DO I HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO THIS? WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS?
OBTAIN THE LICENSE RIGHTS AND BE 100% INDEPENDENT
To affix the Dakar logo or the Rally plaque on products, you must first obtain the licensing right from ASO.
This right is granted for a type of product and for the territory in which you wish to use this license.
MANUFACTURE AND DEVELOP YOUR PRODUCTS WITH THE APPROVAL OF ASO
The products that you would like to develop must be subject to the approval of ASO, so that they are consistent with the image of Dakar and avoid any conflict of interest with the partners of Dakar.
USE THE OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION TOOLS AND GRAPHICAL IDENTITY
A "toolbox" and a "usage guide" are made available to you and guide you in using the Dakar graphical charter. It is essential to comply with this charter.
The Rally plaque and the Dakar logo are graphical elements that may not be varied or distorted.
They are the main elements of the Dakar visual identity and they may not be distorted or modified under any circumstances.
PAY ROYALTIES BASED ON YOUR REVENUE
If your products developed with the Dakar official logo are sold, royalties based on your revenue must be paid to us.
Using a Dakar logo on your clothing or any other product is strictly prohibited outside the conditions mentioned above.

I DO NOT WANT TO OBTAIN AN OFFICIAL LICENCE. BUT WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE POSSIBLE WITH DAKAR DERIVED PRODUCTS?
ASO offers a large choice of derived products in the Dakar colours. Without any licence, it is not possible to personalise the products but there is a complete catalogue with two different collections:
- an Organisation collection marked with the current Dakar year
- a timeless collection of new clothing products, bags or other goodies.
These products may be ordered in small quantities. For this, we have set up an online shop available on Dakar.com.
But, depending on your requirements or projects, you can also obtain products in greater quantities.

Become an official distributor of Dakar products in your country!
You can obtain official products at the wholesale price from ASO and/or official Dakar licence holders, to sell them to the final customer.
