Although he finished 23rd today, almost 25’ behind the stage winner’, “Chucky” remains 3rd in the provisional overall classification.

“It was really good this morning. I did really well with the navigation until the fuel stop after 200 km. Then it was really crazy. Just after the fuel stop, we had a few tricky notes. We missed a way point because we went one valley too far to the left. We spent a fair bit of time there trying to find it. I lost about twenty minutes, so it was pretty crazy. But I recovered and then pushed a lot to try and not lose too much time in the last dune section. Hopefully I recovered a little bit of time. It was a good fun stage, though, and we’re looking forward to tomorrow. I lost a little bit of time here, but it’s only day two and you can see how much time people lost yesterday, and today I opened and lost twenty minutes. It’s going to be back and forth a bit for the first few days, I think. We’ll see what tomorrow brings”.
