Bernhard Ten Brinke: “We made no mistakes and Xavier did very well”

January 8 th 2019 - 19:50 [GMT -5]

Bernhard Ten Brinke, third on the second stage of the Dakar 2019 one minutes and twenty seconds behind Sébastien Loeb, has climbed to second place in the general standings and is now on the heels of Giniel de Villiers.

“The stage today was very good. It was quite nice in the beginning. The dunes where quite tough, but there were good lines. We made no mistakes and Xavier did very well. The Toyota was perfect. Then we were doing a quicker part of the stage, more like a rally stage. We had the right tyre pressure letting me push on on the stage along the tracks, so, yeah, it was good. After that, for the last forty kilometres we were back in the sand and it went well without mistakes and we did a good stage”.
