The Spanish driver, who won in 2014 behind the wheel of a Mini, is making his return to the X-Raid team after a spell with Toyota.

“I know the car very well, even if several years have passed. I’ve got good memories of this car and with the changes to the rules we reckon that it will perform very well. We’ve made progress, but so have the others. So, we’ll just have to see where the difference in progress lies between Peugeot, ourselves and Toyota. In any case, we’ve worked well and the car is in a strong condition. When I had to make a choice between the two models, it wasn’t just a technical issue, but also a question of driving reflexes which pushed me to choose the older version. It’s not easy to switch to a buggy when you’ve spent your entire career driving a 4x4”.
