The romance between Eric Vigouroux and the Dakar started in 1997. A man for challenges, this son of a car dealer first took on the goal to become the first person to finish the Dakar on a quad bike. A goal that he achieved in 1999, and in style as he clinched 10th position of the overall bike standings! Since then Eric Vigouroux has witnessed a long journey from his quad to a Chevrolet pro-truck. “The philosophy is the same. In both situations you need a big heart to manage to perform well”. And his ambition has grown with time. Behind the steering wheel of his Chevrolet Pro Truck, he intends on winning the ‘Open class’, on finishing in the top three of the ‘two wheel drive vehicle class’ and among the first ten overall. Alexandre Winocq, his co-driver (also his mechanic) will be at his side to keep an eye on the engine if ever a problem occurred to this dynamic duo.
