Fabrice Monteaud: “Not in the big boys’ playground, rather with the little ones”
This man will take off for his fourth Dakar. He considers himself both as an adventurer and a competitor. For his first three editions, the 48-year-old biker from the Charentes area of France took off with no assistance. In 2001, for his first experience on the rally, he finished the race in an honourable 59th position. The following year his engine broke down in Tidjikdja, Mauritania. He was forced to quit. But in 2004 Fabrice Monteaud took his revenge by finishing 32nd overall after an ideal race without the slightest mechanical incident other than a burned light bulb. For his fourth Dakar, this company chairman has s dream of clearing a new barrier and why not enter the club of the fastest twenty bikers of the rally.
