Ennio Cucurachi: “When we fall into the pot”
Ennio Cucurachi admits to having just one passion: “Europe”. The Italian rider, who lives in Belgium, is passionate about Europe’s culture and history, which is understandable for this racing mad man who has immersed himself in several different cultures. His bias for the old continent can be also be seen in his choice of motorcycles, which are strictly European. Before turning his attention to the Dakar in the early 1990’s, Ennio Cucurachi was heavily involved in endurance road racing. Put off by the domination of the Japanese brands he refocused his energy towards the Dakar. He finished 95th in 2000 and 98th in 2005. On each of his eight participations he has brought back thousands of memories. He began his preparation for the 2007 edition in September living the clean life and trained extensively on his physical condition.
