Alain Duclos : “I’ll be more daring”
Seventh overall of the 2006 Dakar and winner of a stage in his native town of Bamako, Alain Duclos is without doubt one of the most talented privateer bikers of the lot. A few years ago, he had almost decided to quit everything after heavily falling and breaking an ankle, both heels and a lumbar on the road to Dakar. This time, it is with a ‘’brand new knee’’ that he takes on the competition with high expectations: for this challenge, Alain Duclos has decided to do better than last year and intends on clinching a spot in the top five. Boosted by his excellent 2006 Dakar, he could well be one of the sensations of the overall standings.
