Created in 1870 by Dr Benjamin Franklin Goodrich, the brand of tyres which bears the family name is endlessly innovating and continually pushing back the limits.
Since its commitment to competition in 1970, BFGoodrich has become the All-Terrain Rally benchmark (19 victories in the Baja 1000, 5 victories in the Rally-Raid World Cup).
In 2006, BFGoodrich tyres are again present on the Dakar, a competition with which BFGoodrich identifies completely – adventure, dynamism, daring and control. BFGoodrich competition products, like the Rock tyre – successor to the legendary G1 –, the AT or MT tyre, were designed to triumph over the most demanding terrains, from the tracks scattered with sharp-edged stones in Morocco to Mauritania's famous dunes.
After seven victories, five of which running on the banks of Lac Rose with Mitsubishi, the performance, endurance and all-purpose nature of BFGoodrich tyres no longer has to be proven.
On the occasion of the 28th edition of the Dakar, the major car manufacturers have renewed their partnership with BFGoodrich, whether it be Mitsubishi, Volkswagen, Nissan or BMW.
