Adventurers' trail
A record-breaking year. Two months before the closing of registrations, the Dakar was already brimful with competitors, relegating the previous 1986 record to the archives. For the first time in the rally's history, the organisers have had to refuse entrants, proof that the Dakar has lost none of its magnetic charm.
In the starting blocks for this new edition, amateur riders and drivers will be present en masse. And, for professionals, the competition has lost none of its lure, as the exceptional line-up shows, holding out many a promise of surprise and turnaround of fortunes. For us, the challenge is two-fold: to follow the race and give account of a unique human adventure in the African heartland
To meet such a challenge, ASO and France Télévisions will once more be working hand in hand. All human and material means will be employed, in, around and over the race. Two well-knit and motivated teams to help you experience the Dakar as if you were there.
Our goal: to convey the emotion behind the moving sands.
